Diploma in Pharmacy (D.PHARM)
D.Pharma, short for Diploma in Pharmacy, is a two-year program in India. Students can pursue this course after successfully completing their 12th standard in the science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Mathematics as subjects.
Upon completion of D.Pharm, individuals can work as registered pharmacists in hospitals and community pharmacies, where they dispense drugs and pharmaceuticals. It is mandatory for at least one person employed in a pharmacy to be a qualified registered pharmacist. After finishing D.Pharm, one must obtain registration with the respective pharmacy council to become a registered pharmacist.
